Richard Jolly's World Cup Worst XI

Image
Goalkeeper: Robert Green (England) In a World Cup where the brand of ball became first a noun and then a verb, plenty of goalkeepers proclaimed themselves Jabulani-ed. Germany's captain showed that he retains his considerable prowess when overlapping in the rout of Argentina. Yet it was also a World Cup to enhance his reputation for doing the basics efficiently: Lahm helped silence the feared Argentine attack and was secure at the back against Spain. Centre back: Carles Puyol (Spain) His stylish sidekic...
